Public commenting on Paulding airport commercialization continues

As the debate rages on over whether Paulding County’s airport should be commercialized, the public commenting period for an environmental assessment of the project has been extended.

The Federal Aviation Administration has extended the comment period from Dec. 11 until Jan. 10, in response to community requests, according to a public filing.

The comment period began Oct. 20, and the firm conducting the environmental assessment held a public hearing Dec. 1. More than 300 people attended the hearing, with dozens commenting.
